The Musicport festival was great. An amazing weekend of music, friends and a lot of plastic-kettle shaking! I walked miles around the Spa – a beautifully refurbished seafront venue – dishing out fliers and talking (a lot). And the whole time I was clutching a silver and green kettle…

I am at the amazing Musicport festival in sunny Bridlington for the weekend, prestering people with a plastic kettle and fliering the crowds. It is working well so far; providing plenty of new ideas, spreading the word and raising some money.

Work is going well in Bamako. Amadou has been in touch to say that we are well on our way to rebuilding the workshop after it collapsed in the rains. We’ve been able to fund this thanks to money collected by Pete Coe at this summer’s music festivals.
